With the end of summer comes the beginning of an important stage in the CHIRALNANOMAT training programme: the research rotations of our Doctoral Candidates
As part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network, all 13 Doctoral Candidates will have the opportunity to undertake research stays at different universities, research institutions, and industry partners within the consortium. This mobility is a central element of CHIRALNANOMAT’s interdisciplinary and intersectoral training approach, allowing the DCs to experience different research environments, develop new skills, and exchange knowledge with researchers across Europe.
As one of the first rotating candidates, Robin de Hoogh has moved from KU Leuven to TU Wien, where he will be working on his research project alongside the DCs Gloria Biscontini and Martina Salmi under the supervision of Noelia Barrabés.
These rotations are much more than opportunities to work in a different laboratory. They are designed to encourage scientific exchange, strengthen collaboration between consortium partners, and help our young researchers build an international network that will support them throughout their careers.
With the first rotations now underway, the CHIRALNANOMAT community is entering an exciting new phase of collaboration, mobility, and shared research.
